Can I add the Main vent at the beginning of the Dry Return

I have the Main Vent on the end of the dry return. I read about putting it at the end of the Main Run. My main piping is old and I don't want to mess with it. The smaller return pipe is new and would be easy for me to attach a Vent at the beginning of the Dry return as that would be right next to the End of the Main. Can I do this?

You can
but why bother? Unless the dry return is blocked with something -- unlikely -- it is going to be able to flow a lot more air than a vent anyway -- even a really big vent. If you need more venting capacity, just add an antler and vents at the existing location.Br. Jamie, osb
