Adding water to boiler too often?

Hi-- My gas steam boiler is only two years old. This cold snap, I notice that the water gauge gets low quickly and I am adding water almost twice a week--far more frequently than I've had too in the past. Interestingly, the gauge fills back up pretty quickly--I don't think it is taking a lot of water.
Please advise!

That is more often
than it really should be, but perhaps not catastrophically so. Check for such things as minor leaks around valves or vents which don't quite seal. Amazing how much steam can vanish that way -- particularly when the system is working hard.Br. Jamie, osb
