Tees instead ells

Just wondering what some of you guys do?? When running a wet return is it better to use all tees instead of ells with plugs in the end? I know it'll make cleaning the wet return a snap. I always use a tee at the end with bushing and a 3/4 boiler drain. Just wondering any others would be better with a tee?

Cleaning wet returns
It's more convenient to use a full-size, full-port ball vale, but if funds are tight, then a short nipple and cap on the tee will be easier to remove. In the first winter of the boiler, a lot of sludge will come back from the mains, and a flush maybe a monthly chore.
If you put a hose fitting on the dry return, and a valve to temporarily separate the boiler from the return on the Hartford loop), then with a hose, water pressure can be used to flush out the return, without losing the water in the boiler each time.--NBC0
