Thatcher natural gas furnace

The system has been in place for over twenty five years or more. Recently a buzzing sound emanates from the the furnace during ignition. I have never heard that sound before. can anyone pinpoint what if any issues that may arise from this?

    I assume it is igniting

    every time? It could be the gas valve humming or the transformer. Have a professional take a look at it before it fails completely.

    Yes, I do agree with you tim it may be the issue of transformer's volume. I think your furnace probably used a" Penn-Baso Husky" thermocouple as original. Most any thermocouple can be used as long as it has a maleend and not a "split nut" style connection. Plz check it professionally.
