Hello all,

I'm holding a full-day seminar for all mechanics and helpers in my shop on the following topics:

1. Presenting ourselves on the job.

2. Van stock.

3. Role of the helper

4. Role of the mechanic

5. Role of Service Manager

6. Role of Project Manager.

7. What's included in a Boiler Maintenance Service.

8. What are the signs of boiler trouble?

9. CO testing

10. Combustion analysis

11. Control wiring and troubleshooting (could be a week in itself)

12. How to leave a job.

13. Writing invoices and closing out with the customer.

I bought a projector and have found some videos on YouTube like this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp8C8VgFySc&feature=youtu.be

and know it would be great to have a few more.

Please link me to any you may know of.

Many thanks, friends.

    Wow good luck

that agenda sounds like about two weeks for me to do. You will really only be able to just do a very brief presentation on each subject say no more than 10 to 15 minutes. You will need good handouts for the techs to read up on after the session. An example I do a three day course on just Testing Design Gas Equipment and even that is not enough time. I wish you well.

    I hear ya.

We work in stations and we've got groups of 4-5 employees working with 4 managers (service, project, office, and me), so it's a good crash/refresher course for all involved.
