Looking to size new steam boiler, gas fired HB Smith 28 HE. Building has 3000 square feet of radiation. How many pounds per hour of steam is required?

Heating boilers
are almost always rated in terms of EDR -- equivalent direct radiation. So... if you have 3,000 square feet of Equivalent Direct Radiation, that's what you need from the boiler. One can convert that to BTU, or to pounds of steam. But why bother?Br. Jamie, osb
