against putting one in a dead end, even with a vent-bad advise?0 -
It's about system temperature
so a dead end is not going to read that very well, unless the LWCO has a probe long enough to get back into an active pipe (installed in the end of a tee, typically.)0 -
The dead end..

dead end
The dead end can also have an air pocket that can be hard to get out, which will make the control shut the system down since it is not covered with water.
My 2 cents anyway.
