Buderus making noise (Gas)

My client has a natural gas Buderus G124x-18.
When it fires up it rumbles and makes the "pop corn" sound an old water heater makes.
I tried flushing it out for an hour, until the water ran out clean. The client says its still making the noise.
Any ideas or possibly suggested flushing chemicals I could use to correct the issue?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.0
