This is an oil fired boiler converted to gas. The tank less coil is tied into an old heating system right next to it. There is a separate hot water heater that is missing the vacuum breaker and isn't connected to the heating system.Questions#1 Can a converted oil burning boiler still use the barometric damper or does a draft hood need to be installed. #2. Why would you tie the new boiler into the old one.? There is no fuel supply to the old one. #3 Also concerned about venting this gas boiler into a 100 year old unlined chimney.

Any help would be appreciated. Mike Quigley

    no way

In house gas is supposed to have chimney lining. Maybe the old boiler is supposed to provide enough warm air to preserve chimney ??

if i'm reading this right, sounds like the new boiler is tied into the old boiler so u could get hot water from the tankless, and u have a water heter not hooked up to anything? the new boiler doesn't have a tankless? is the new boiler a dry base? only wetbases have tanklessesesss.....
