Power Flame ignition lockout help - help on cause?

Have a Smith 28A steam boiler controlled by a Power Flame JR30A-12 burner; running natural gas. Recently, the Honeywell Flame Safeguard Control board is intermittently locking out the power flame ignition. Once I manually reset the Honeywell board, the boiler fires up fine.
It appears that the burner is not igniting 100% of the time and the cause of the lockout.
Wondering if I should replace the flame rod and pilot assembly or if it could be something else? How long do these typically last? Any other possible causes/suggestions?
Thanks!

Try cleaning the pilot and also the
check the placement of the spark rod and clean the sensing rod. I would also do a combustion test to ensure it is fring properly. I would also check gas pressures along with checking the commissioning paper work to make sure it is firng at correct input.
What is the number of the Honeywell Control?0
