Boiler Pump Size and Efficiency

I was wondering if people thought increasing the pump size to match the boiler output could improve efficiency.  The current pump moves about 20 gpm and the output of the boiler is 300,000 BTU's.  I was recommending the pump size to pump 30 gpm.

Increasing the flow rate is decreasing efficiency not increasing it. What type of boiler is this?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

This is an old american standard cast iron boiler.  375,000 BTU input  300,000 BTU output.
