Deciding between oil fired boilers
MLA
Member Posts: 5
Need to replace oil fueled boiler in coastal NH. Got a quote for a Biasi B10-4 with Riello burner and a Peerless WBV3 with Beckett Burner. The house has hot water baseboards. This is all completely new to me and I don't know how to decide. We don't know anything about boilers, so your help would be gratefully received!

now is your chance
to upgrade your comfort level and gain some efficiency at the same time. I know the Buderus G125BE is equipped for outdoor reset but I'm not sure what other oil-fired options are.
Edit: left out the Viessmann Vitola 200.0 -
Of those two
the Biasi is the better choice. Its 3-pass design is much easier to maintain, and more efficient too.
Did the contractors do a heat-loss calculation to size these boilers? All Steamed Up, Inc.
