Experience with Field Controls Electric Flue Damper

The write up and info claims some big savings for heat. And FC seems to be a solid company and the safety switches seem good, have you had any experience with this, and did you see any savings? Also I am concerned that cleaning the flue will be a real pita after this is on there with wires, etc. Ty

OEM
These dampers are (or are very similar to) the OEM dampers on many boilers manufactured today. They are fairly reliable and will reduce flue heat losses.
What kind of savings are they advertising? I had one that had failed. I bypassed it until I got the new one installed. There was not a huge increase in consumption. Installations will vary. Some flues have a stronger non-fired draft than others.
