the switch is turned off but i am getting heat to my baseboards in one zone. i have 4 zones in the house. but only one. it gets hot, then it stops and cools down and then calls for heat again all with the switch off. when i shut off the boiler it helps for a little while but i need the boiler for hot water. I removed all the wires relating to heat (R and W) from the thermostat, but it still does this. it just happend tonight for the first time.
why would this happen?

Do you have a picture?
Does your system have zone valves?
Is this occurring during a domestic water call for heat or is it calling for heat on it's own?
Any paranormal activity? Just kidding.
of the zone piing and wiring would help.
