Does anybody know if the Viessmann low loss header (for the Vitodens 100) contains mesh to help collect microbubbles?

Nope
Just a hollow piece of iron...Caleffi and Spirotherm do have them that way and you'll pay for them. But they are sweet...I prefer Taco's for Vitodens 100.

Thanks
So would it be worth it for me to have a separate microbubble collector installed? I'm not going to have the LLH swapped out.0 -
No
It will work just fine. You can take the little coin vent out. Stick in a 1/2" nip, 1/2" x 1/8" coupling and then screw in a Amtrol or Taco Hy-Vent.."The bitter taste of a poor installation remains much longer than the sweet taste of the lowest price."0 -
Hy-vent
I'm pretty sure it already has some type of hy-vent installed on the LLH. Certainly looks like one to me.
As always, the advice is much appreciated. Have a great weekend.0 -
