Orifices in mixed system

Been reading about use of supply side orifices in rads, wondering if using them in 3 rads added to pre-existing Richardson System would make it more consistent eliminating function of rad traps?

If those Richardson valves are original
I believe they already have orificing capability. You might try an orificing valve from MEPCO or Barnes & Jones, this way you can fine-tune it.All Steamed Up, Inc.

My mistake
Sorry, the added rads are traditional traps, and packless valves circa 1940. The origial Richardson valves are still in place. Would oriface work in added rads?

They would work
but would be a bit more difficult to fine-tune. It's much easier to turn a screw. All Steamed Up, Inc.
