A big shout out to the Crown Boiler Family. From all 18 of us, thank you for two days of hospitality and opening your vision to the future. This is a top notch company that's current and future product offering is well worth the look of every contractor out there.

A special thank you to Yale Stiengard, Presiident of Crown for his hands on approach in conducting this training and visit. Fully impressed on how his vision is focused on helping current and future contractors grow. Can't forget Bill Genes, thanks for your time and the same vision but the boss gets the credit...hahhah :)

Look forward to the new products and working together in this season of change. Great to see your ready..

    Crown

    Chris,

Just out of curiousity since you took the time to post - what is Crown doing or offering that distinguishes themselves or makes them stand out in your opinion?

    Comparisons

Let's face it. There is always going to be a market segment that wants cast iron boilers so that is really what we are talking about here. For starters, they are 100 percent ready for the Sept DOE change with their boiler line. They are the only boiler manufacturer of the three we carry that seems to be proactive in working with their wholesale partners. I have yet to this point and we are only a couple of month away had another manufactuer ask, how can we help you through this change? How can we help our existing contractor partners through this change? This is our inventory plan to support you and your customer base during the change. Here are contractor programs we can offer? This is what we our working on to help our contractor base in lead generation.

I think the new changes to existing products, the addition of new products and their vision on future products shows them in touch to contractor needs. There inside support and outside support is outstanding as well. Soon you will be able to Skype in for tech support for instance.

Another item that shows them proactive is just their web site. Crown University is awesome for all that want product education. I just feel they have positioned themselves as standing out front instead of sitting back and waiting for somone to knock on their door to ask.

    Good to hear

    Chris,

It is good to hear you are getting the support you need from Crown. I agree there will always be a replacement market for cast iron. A properly sized and controlled cast unit can rival the performance of a mod/con in some applications. Particularly with high temp, fixed load like domestic water, fan coil ect. Some buildings are nearly impossible to re-vent.

How are they handling the new DOe regs on CI gas boilers? Oil boilers?
