and Trade Show in my town Providence Rhode island.

It was great seeing old friends and shaking some hands and in some cases getting some hugs. I also got to meet folks who post here whom I had never met and it was great to finally put faces with names.

I also met many of you who chose not to post but visit and read and learn. Thank you for letting me in particular know that I have been able to help you at some point in your career.

I really enjoyed Carol Fey's presentations she brings such energy and also keeps it simple for those who need that to be done. Thanks Carol for two great sessions I attended.

It was also great to visit all the trade show booths and see what is new and exciting and visit with all my old friends from all the companies.

Last of all great to see our host Dan once again along with Alan Mercurio and Steamhead and I sure do not want to leave Mark Hunt out of this it was great to see him.

If I missed any of you at the show I was around the snack bar every day keeping an eye out for who ever came by.

    Ow well

Missed you Tim, But saw a bunch of you. There 3 days and just got home. Heard mixed reviews about the show, but it was good for me. Great hangin with Wirenut, seeing Frank and Gordo, Dan, Denny, and many others.

The whole OESP group is just a great group of people. Looking forward to Hershey... and Hartford in 2014!

    Added to my eventful

time was a great sit down and time of sharing with Alex the Wire Nut, also Denny Reardon, Dave Lawrence and so many others plus all the new folks I met who know me but I did not know them. It was great meeting all of you.

I walked the show and the trade show floor in prayer as I know the oil folks are losing some market share in so many different ways, it is my prayer that a complete turn around will be forth coming in the future.

    Anything New

Couldn't make it the show this year but surprised to see no posts about any new products or ideas. Like did anyone show any 2012 compliant cast iron gas boilers or is everyone still trying to keep them a state secret?

So good to see so many friends.

Fewer people this year at the show, but this remains my favorite. What a great time! And Providence rocks.
    Retired and loving it.

Chris not a lot of gas

equipment on display but it certainly was much more than I have seen at an Oil trade show. Pretty much everything that has been around for a while.

I attended both of Carol Fey's presentations on Energy Saving devices and her strong emphasis was on ODR and the upcoming mandate for manufacturers and contractors. I found that many in attendance at her sessions were not fully aware of what is coming or how it would play into the oil equipment scene. There were things that I would like to have seen covered but Carol was somewhat guarded and rightfully so in getting into to much more technical than what is ODR and how will it be applied to oil systems. That along with the exceptions pretty much covered it.

    Thanks Tim

Did Peerless show their new WBV 90% AFUE? Basically a WBV with a 2 stage oil burner from my understanding. By the way met to ask you if you had a chance to get a peak at Viessmann's new (to us) CM2? Thoughts, opinions? I like the no need for pri/sec great when retrofitting those modular boilers such as Hydrotherm, Slant Caravan etc. Thanks again for the report.
