Does anyone have a simple scale for sizing furnaces for residential use

Sizing:
Easy as pie.
If it's a hot water system, do an accurate heat loss calculation of the structure. Sizw the boiler accordingly.
If it is an existing steam system, measure up all installed radiators, compute the EDR of the radiatiors, and size the boiler to the EDR.

If it is a furnace, you need to preform a load calculation (Manual J). Also duct work sizing and design is very important. A Manual D is used for duct sizing and design.0
