one pipe two connections to radiator
jumper

On this site is a picture of a Wilson fitting.
I think that I remember a building in which radiators were connected this way.
One pipe from floor went up beside radiator to connect at both top & bottom.
Is my memory incorrect ? Could you eliminate the rad vent this way ?

no, you would still need the vent
as the air in the radiator still has to be able to escape to atmosphere..gwgillplumbingandheating.com
