Boiler has trane steam traps- Boiler goes to 6 pounds and shuts off on pressure-house at 65 return cold-any thoughts suggestions?

cold returns
many traps and vents won't work at pressures higher than 3 psi, and become paper-weights, or xmas tree ornaments [when polished up], at 5 psi, so see if you can get your pressure down to 1.5 psi max. this system will probably work best at 2 ounces on your gauge.--nbc0 -
If...
the boiler is running up to 6 psi, and if the radiators aren't warm... then the steam isn't getting to the radiators, eh? As nbc notes, do get the pressure down to something reasonable. Then I would imagine that you will need to start replacing traps which have failed at the high pressure. And also any main vents -- and if you don't have main vents, they will need to be added.Br.
