Just received a call back from a customer regarding a Burnham alpine.model alp-150

The boiler is making a humming noise when the gas valve opens up.

I have adjusted the throttle screw on the gas valve and seemed to help ,but has

not solved the problem completley.

Any suggestions would help

Did you do a combustion analysis?

    They had some problems with

a Series of Sage controls if I am not mistaken. They also have a product bulletin dated Nov 19, 2010 about LCD Displays and Ignitors.

It is product bulletin #103398-01R1 of Nov 19, 2010.

    Other things to check:

    1. Make sure the gas pressure does not drop more than 1" W.C. when the gas valve opens

    2. Verify the gap on the igniter

    3. Adjust the O2 to 5.6 - 6.1

    4. Verify the gas line is over 10 feet long from the meter.

If none of the above works lower the max heating fan speed by 500 RPM's and readjust the O2 to the above specs.

If none of that works contact Burnham
