what electric water heater to buy

My mother in law wants out of the propane and would like me to install a electric hwh. Single family house. 1 shower, 2 sinks and dishwasher. At most 2 showers a day. 90% of the time just one, and mayb 2 back to back once or twice a week and the dishwasher isn't used daily. looking for recomendations. Looking for quality. Money isn't a issue. TIA

    Electric Water Heaters

They all work the same way and basically use the same amount of energy. Some have better insulation and higher tank quality, but anything 40 gals. and above uses one of two 4500w elements at a time. This means that you get 15,300 btu's input to heat the water in the tank. That's why they are slow to recover. A gas water heater has a 32k to 75k btu burner depending on tank size. That's why they recover 3-4 times faster than electric. The gas usually cost 1/3 to 1/2 of what the electric does to operate. I don't know why you would want to replace the gas one with an electric. We regularly do the opposite.
