running without a setback, I used LESS fuel one year than using a 2/3 degree setback.

but yes, it does seem plausible. Setbacks have bedeviled the Wall for years -- but there is a sort of growing feeling that, for steam heat at least, they don't save much, and don't save anything if they are much over two or three degrees.
On the other hand, have you corrected for warmer/colder winters? Differences in usage? Other changes to the building?Br. Jamie, osb
