I have a 100 yr old reinsulated apt. building in Amherst N.S.Canada with cast iron rad. a160000 btu oil fired N.Y. horzontal tube boiler Reillo f5 burner . I would lif to keep the gravity system as the burner is controled by a Tekmar 256 outdoor reset .My question is if i replace the steel i inch.pipe with 3/4 inch insulated pex oxegion barrier will i at least maintain the heat delivery.

Probably Not
If the system is still gravity and not forced flow, then the original pipe sizes must be retained. Have you considered putting a circulator on it?
