Gravity HW system piping strategy.....

kcoppkcopp Member Posts: 3,510
Tell me if I am on the right track here, please. Gravity HW set up. Biasi b-10 boiler piped primary secondary.  Indirect off boiler piping and will only run on priority...  Boiler will be controlled by a Tekmar 256 reset. The tstat for the house will run the primary loop circ and the loop out to the system a 15-55 alpha hard wired.... rads will not have trvs.... thoughts? Sorry about the neck tilt...

Will run constant circulation if it's fed constant power in your scenario. If that's what you meant by "hard wired". I'd control it to run with the primary circ. You may also have to set it to a specific gpm or speed instead of "auto adapt" depending on the head loss of the old gravity piping.

Be sure to check for orifice plates in the second floor rads and remove them if present.

    It should work great.
