I'm still in shock.  Waiting to see how this is going to affect the market offerings of both companies....only time will tell.  wow.

    I wonder if theValletts

will still be involved and if our friend Paul Rohrs will remain with them?

I am looking to put together Volume IV of my Mod/Con manuals and Lochinvar along with Burnham are scheduled to be in that manual. I hope the same cooperation received in the past will continue. They have been a great company to work with.

    Shock as well

So basically this means Lochinvar is now a public traded company (or part of one anyways), right?

I'm not sure if this is a good thing...I'm in shock as well. Publically traded companies are in it to make money for their shareholders. If you see the statement on their website, it basically sounds like AO Smith is going to milk Lochinvar's name & product for all its worth.

Also, traditionally, hasn't Bradford White and Lochinvar had an association of some sort? At least as far as I know the families knew each other, and if you look at the Bradford White hot water tanks and the Lochinvar hot water tanks they shared parts and looked remarkably similar. I guess this would/could mean Bradford White and AO Smith may not be in cahootz in some respects potentially.

    Not really

Lochinvar was marketing and selling relabeled Bradford White water heaters. Very common in the industry to OEM products to others looking to round out their product line. There is no other relationship than that.

Remember the last one? Rinnai/Noritz for AO Smith? Obviously that marriage is over with AO having north American sales rights with Takagi.
