Taco Bike at NAOHSM

My Holohan Old School shirts arrived months ago, yet I knew the moment I unpacked them that, to meet their true potential, they needed an Old School reunion with old school technology.

So I built this bike over the past 14 or 15 months.  Not from the ground up, mind you, but a good portion of it.

The idea was to make a special unveiling of sorts at the 2011 NAOHSM show in Hershey, PA.

The machine is an old school “bobber,” the term that describes the streamlined, super-simplified, stripped-down or "bobbed" bike with few creature comforts.

I now know so many people in the Taco camp, with loads of bikers among them at the company. The inspiration to build a bike honoring them came easily - and was a whole lot of fun in the process.

    Nice

The bike looks even better in person. You did a great job on it. Everyone was asking about raffling it off. Any possibility?

Not every coctail party you go to has a cool bike roll in.

But that happened twice this year. Great fun. Thanks, Dan!
    Retired and loving it.
