Teledyne Laars issue

Member Posts: 5
I just checked a JVS-160 Teledyne Laars boiler for noise in the heating system. I traced the noise back to the boiler room. The boiler fires and heats fine until it reaches the limit setting on the aquastat at 170 degrees to 180 degrees the boiler pops and makes noise like it has no water. I checked water fill and related system but noise is still there any help you can provide will be great .
Thanks

Sounds like you are
not getting enough flow through the boiler. Those boilers will "Kettle" and even make steam if the flow is not stable. Make sure the circulator is working to provide adequate flow. Also check for corrosion on the coils.0
