leak repair?

i was loosing some water in the boiler, and searched around for leaks, and found a leak in a 1" pipe under the kitchen in the crawlspace. the pipe is rusted to the point of no return, and it was pitched incorrectly, effectively pooling water all season, rusting it out. The leak is pinhole-ish.

JB weld? thoughts? i don't wanna replace the whole pipe until i remodel the kitchen next next summer. anybody have success with JBweld? wish i had a tig welder.

chances are...
that if you have a pinhole leak on a pipe like that, that the whole pipe or at least the whole invert is paper thin, and just waiting to leak. This can be highly amusing, but not when you are trying to heat the house... JBWeld on carefully cleaned pipe may survive the winter (the JBWeld will, the question is whether the pipe will).Br. fiberglass repair kit
I have never had to try this Tom, but how about a fiberglass repair kit from the hardware store. Mix part A and B, paint it on and wrap it with the cloth. Then paint it on again.0 -
Band Clamp
How about a band pipe repair clamp? They come in various lengths and sizes, so you can even cover the area where it hasn't started to leak yet. They are made for pipe sizes down to 1/2"

Pin Hole Leak
I used a hose clamp (band clamp?) and a piece of innertube cut about 1 inch square to temporarily fix a pin hole leak in a 2 inch pipe. The repair lasted over a year. I put the piece of innertube over the hole and the hose clamp on top of it. Tightened down as much as I could and no issues.
It's not permanent, but it worked.
But, like was said earlier, the leak may be an indication of more to come.
