Hi I was servicing an Burnham boiler 4-22an 70.000 btu w/ thermopile,

yes there still around. It has a Honeywell circulator relay l8148b 1007.

on the relay there is a auto/manual switch, I have seen these in the past

they allow the burner to work without power 115volt to unit.

The switch does not respond in either position auto or manual ,

what position should the switch be in. Honeywell website shows no info on this relay.

                Thanks in advance                Bob Webster

The switch should be in the

Auto position. The manual switch position will allow the powerpile system to cycle on limit in the event of power failures.

With the power shut of jump out (temporarily) B1 to B2 on the relay if the burner comes on then the problem is perhaps in the relay. Powerpile systems are tricky however and if you do not have experience troubleshooting them you will end up in a mess. E-mail me at gastc@cox.net and I will send you a procedure for troubleshooting powerpile.
