Buderus whining

I have a Buderus GB 142 wall hung and replaced the exhaust fan last winter. This year when the furnace starts there is a whining or whistling noise that comes from the furnace for a few seconds. It seems to happen from a cold startup. Had my furnace man come and it did not make the noise while her was there. Any ideas what would be causing this and could it be the fan again? I have tried to listen when it starts and it is difficult to say where the noise is coming from.
