sidewall venter

I am needing to replace my SWG4 outside sidewall venter. It has 2 wires coming through the brick wall to the outside where they make connection to the motor and fan. Can I just cut these 2 wires and attach the ends together with the ones from the new venter motor, allowing me to NOT have to go under the house crawl space?
If so, can I do this 1 wire at a time so I don't have to cut off the power to my furnace?

I would not advise cutting anything when it is live
let alone working on it without cutting off the power. What I really suggest you do is hire a professional to do this and make sure it is interlocked with all the equipment it takes care of. I also strongly suggest a combustion analysis be done on the attached equipment after installation.0
