sizing steam boiler for copper convectors

would somebody give me a hint how to size replacement steam boiler which would go with copper convectors?

do you have a reference for the amount of BTU per hour the convectors will produce at 214 F -- steam temperature? If so, I'd be inclined to do it the same way I would a system with radiators -- add up the demand from the convectors. Then you could divide by 240 which would give you an equivalent EDR, and go from there.Br. Jamie, osb

since convectors hold so little heat, you can probably go very light on the Pick up factor, 15 to 20% is probably plenty, if all you piping is insulated or you don't have an unusual systemThere was an error rendering this rich post.
