in Gas Heating
i'm converting from an oil boiler to a gas boiler. it's one zone and they're going to be using the chimney as a conduit to get exhaust gasses out via plastic pipe. it will not be wall mounted and use an indirect water heater. my home uses radiator heating not baseboard. my question is if i should have a primary/secondary loop system. one contractor highly recommends it and says it's necessary...the other does not saying that the circulation will be caused by gravity.
i'd also like to know if the following statement is true or false:
copper finned baseboard heater, small zones, and radiant heat would require a p/s piping arrangement.
help!!

Installation manual prefers primary secondary
you can start on page 15 and go from there.

Must Be Pri/Sec
Unless he sizes the pump big enough to handle the head of the boiler combined with ever has more head, the zone or the indirect he can't. PS..Going to be a really, really, really big pump that costs alot of money. Save yourself some grief pri/sec as per the install manual Charlie provided you. If he takes the indirect off the pri loop that pump must be the same size as the boiler pump. There was an error rendering this rich post.
