Vapor System conversion to water

I have a Moline Vapor System in my house with most if not all of the working parts. Thanks to help I received here, I made changes to the system and have done everything I can to get the system running correctly. However, I have one major problem. The existing boiler is about 3-4 time larger than needed. As a result, I decided to see if I could find someone to replace the existing boiler. Unfortunately, no one in Columbus, Ohio knows how to work on these systems. I had a guy tell me he has worked on a ton of these systems and would be happy to give me a quote. He recommends changing the system to a hot water system. I would rather keep it the way it is. Can someone give me some direction? I really just want to throw a properly size boiler in underneath my existing header. Am I wrong?

Good heavens
You can't find anyone in Ohio to do this simple job for you? Please, please please get in touch with Gerry Gill, (G.W. Gill in Bedford)(he's one of the pro's on the wall -- look under Find a Professional, then Ohio, then Bedford). You have a magnificent steam system. It will pay you -- believe me -- to pay Gerry whatever to come down and do this install, even if he can't recommend someone in the Columbus area.
Don't even try to convert it to water!!!Br. Jamie, osb

No , your not wrong
You need to find a guy who actually worked on a ton of those systems ....
One way to know if he comes in with a measure tape and sizes up the radiators and system ...There was an error rendering this rich post.

Stick with the vapor....
your system is one of the finest and most efficient systems available...no matter steam or hot water. It's design is providing the fundamentals for hundreds of upgrades of two pipe steam systems to high efficiency orifice systems.. I have worked on some of them and the operating costs are incredibly low and the comfort exceptional. Get Gerry Gill to take care of it...he is not only well versed in steam, but is helping lead the way with new ideas to improve steam heating. There was an error rendering this rich post.

These guys are right
trying to convert it will just cause problems and may drive you to drink. Talk to Gerry- this is his kind of project. I'd take it on, but Baltimore is a bit far away..........All Steamed Up, Inc.
