PVC pipes
Did I understand that you are running the exhaust up the chimney as a chase but the intake out the basement wall? Not sure about boilers but many forced air furnaces won't run that way. Both pipes have to be in the same pressure zone, in other words - together.0 -
Venting
You can do it with boilers, just pipe within the chimney must be supported every 5 feet.Gennady Tsakh

Piping venting and system pump needs to be by the book they run and save you lots on fuel0 -
I have an Alpine 150 installed about 6 years ago. I recently noticed that the display screen on the front of the unit, although lit up, is not operating. The display is frozen and will not show any change as the furnace continues to operate normally. The touch screen is frozen and will not respond when touched. I checked the connections to the screen and from the internal workings (Sage 2?). Any thoughts?
