source for over-radiator water "buckets"

im not sure what they're called .. the things that hang on radiator that you fill with water to help room humidity.. anyone know where to find them or if they have a real name? are there any that are better than others? plastic? metal? thanks!

Radiator Humidifiers

I looked into this last winter. There isn't much of a choice out there. Some are made of plastic which since it doesn't conduct heat, seem almost useless. Some are ceramic, very decor and very expensive. One that was interesting and reasonably priced I kept the URL and here it is http://kilian.stores.yahoo.net/radhum.html    We ended up using small aluminum foil pans which my wife found somewhere. They may be bread pans or dripping pans as they are similar to the ones we use on our barbecue .

My grandparents had something like this...

.. but in the part that went between the radiator columns, there was  a felt-like element inserted that extended about 1/2 inch above the metal there, so as to be directly heated by the radiator itself. The end where you put the water in was round, like a large can for stewed tomatoes or something, so it held more water than the one you show.

I have a customer with one in her radiator.

Her husband had his waiting room in the front room and he had one in that radiator. It still has the felt in the area between the radiator. Hers still has the original label on it. Next time I am there I will see if I can get a photo of it.
