    Hey Guys....

    I've been doing this for a few years now. There is nothing better than giving to someone you don't know, and will probably never meet. True charity is anonymous. With a little effort on your part you can make a big difference in the life of a child who might otherwise do without.

    The way this works is that I'll send you a letter from a kid living in a homeless shelter. Some of these letters are hilarious; others can break your heart. One year, a kid asked for socks. That's it. Socks. Another year, a kid asked for books for his handicapped little brother. Nothing for himself.



    Anyway, the limit on the gift is $50. The letter will come with a list of suggestions from New York Cares. You go shopping and send the gift to the agency where the kid is living. If you have kids, take them shopping with you and talk about what you're doing. I guarantee your kid will see Christmas in a new light this year.

    Whatever we have them, I'll request the letters and get them in the mail to all the Santas so that you have plenty of time to shop and send your gift.
