I am in the procces of replaceing a stem boiler in an older shop. It has a Burnham V809 and it has failed due to lack of maintenece. The section failed at the water line. I have always prefered a Burnham boiler ina commercial aplication. My supplyer of choice is a Weil Mclain dealer and I have proposed a Weil McLain eries 80 9 section oil fired with a carlin oil burn Low/high/ low operation. I am looking for opinons on the Series 80 Boiler.

We have a couple of 4-80 steamers out there
They work well, though I do wish they were 3-pass rather than pin boilers.
Definitely go with lo-hi-lo. Use a Vaporstat to switch firing rates.
