Hello Singh,

You are correct. A tN2 thermostat cannot directly connect to a tN4 Zone Manager. The reason is that tN4 is a peer to peer communication system, and tN2 as master - slave type of communication system. That allows tN2 to run power and communication over the same wires. All tN2 Wiring Centers and tN2 Zone Managers can convert the tN2 communication to tN4 and are fully compatible with all other tN4 equipment.

There are tN2 Zone Managers and tN2 Zone Expansion Modules for the larger "L" box enclosure as well. These devices are called the 334 and the 324 respectively.
