Condensate Device (What is this thing)

Does anyone know what this device is? Condensate is coming into the device from the pipe on the right, it is going to a condensate receiver to the left pipe and the pipe going up seems to be a vent. Any help would be great.

    Steam trap

Looks like a bucket type steam trap. You would see them on larger systems.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    I agree

some sort of trap. Did you find a model name or number on it? What type of building is it in?

I seem to recall seeing traps like this on larger systems fed from a central boiler plant, where you could modulate the pressure individually in each building.
