GW
Member Posts: 4,817
g'day, I have a job where I need to "PVC" the venting. can anyone tell me whether the GB can be vented with that BAY flush termination vent kit? I feel i may have known this at one time, but I'm getting old. Of course it;s too late for me to make phone calls to the vendors now. Thanks so much, gw

Never heard of a \"BAY\" termination kit
All GBs are good to go with schedule 40 Pvc (NOT FOAM CORE) piping right out of the top hubs. Mad Dog

BAY
it's a flush mounted termination fitting; like what you see on a W/M gold gas boiler.

never used one Gary, but as long as....
It complied with GB distances,it would probably be ok..from memory....12". Difference in height and 24". Horizontally???? Don't quote me...just got in from a meeting. Mad dog

yes
there are three approved methods venting the GB.
1) Seperate termination.
2) Concentric
3) Flat stainless kit (Bay?). It's rectangle in shape and only protrudes
about 2" . It can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

yes
I don't know where I got the word BAY. I think some of the furnace manufacturers use this word.
Thanks for the help

you probably
got it from American Standard? I use them all the time.
I've used them on Munchies and TT. Elusive part number, but aesthically the nicest way to terminate sidewall IMO. Almost a 200 diff between the SS plate style and the standard.0
