Yes. It could get to 215 when it gets to 1 1/2 psi. If you build up more pressure it will get even hotter

is it ok to heat a indirect water heater[weil mcclain gold]..off of a steam boiler. the tank is being replaced every four years or so..[the tank is rated for 210 degrees]0 -
As long as
the tank is approved for use with a steam boiler. What type of tank are you using?

That's basically
the Triangle Tube Smart unit. Nice indirect, my favorite for a hot-water system, but it doesn't like the water in a steam boiler. I'd use the SuperStor instead.

if the tanks rated for 210 degrees ...would that be the problem for the tank going every 3 to 4 years....for example if the boiler builds pressure could the water be more than 210?0 -
you think installing a bypass to mix return with supply water would help0 -
Hot temps
We installed a steamer a few days ago with a zone of heat on an internal coil . The temp at the coil maxxed out at 235 degrees . I was kinda shocked the temp could get that high on the coil side of a steamer .
Using an indirect with a steam boiler works very well . But like you said , make sure to pipe a bypass so the temp doesn't get too high going to the indirect .0 -
