Air issues...

First is the air in the left boiler. 1" coming from boilers tie together and off to x-tank in ceiling. Any reason why I couldn't just pipe the x-tank a bit different and have a B&G #7 vent on top of the boiler to let air out of the block and tee off that to the x-tank? Left boiler gets air bound and LWCO trips, I was there yesterday and just now.
Second issue is with a CIBB job where I just swapped an old Bosmore that was putting out 500+ppm CO after cleaning. 82% is better than 500+ppm any day. Anyway, I purged all zones and the entire building runs great except the zone that runs at the boiler level. All access doors on the CIBB are long painted shut, but twice now the flow just stopped. I purged again, no air came out really, but flow started again. Do CIBBs need to be bled, or can they be purged?
