boiler cycling problem

I still have a problem with the cycling of my boiler after all the help I recieved before. My boiler cycles on and off to frequently with absolutely no call from the thermostat. I attached a file of the cycling sequence. Someone guide me in the right direction on whether this is a cracked heat exchanger, damper problem or aquastat problem. As far as I know these are the only three things remaining. If an aquastat is set at HI 160 degrees and LO 130 degrees and a differential of 15 why does the boiler come on at 178-180 degrees when the Lo is set to 130 degrees? Help me please!

    I Noticed a Few Problems

First off you have an over ride of boiler temperature, My first check would make sure the capillary tube of the aquastat is fully inserted in the well . Normal problem I see installers make . There is extra tube that needs to be pulled out of the L8124 to fully insert into an extended well ..

Also it seems the TT terminals on the control is jumped out ? It is bouncing off the high limit without a call for heat . It should be set up and wired to pull in on a call for heat...

I am assuming you have an oil fired boiler without a hot water coil from the control used and set points of the aquastat ? Hmmmm... But you did mentioned a stack damper ?

The system loss issue can be from sitting there idle on high temperature or a leak in the system.....

Let's address the aquastat problem first and we need more info on what type system...

There was an error rendering this rich post.
