1947 AS Empire, HW, settings/adjustments help
Am looking for reference material on best settings, i.e. adjusting gas/air mix, best temperature of water, how to determine if water system is full vs. overfull, which of 3 pump speeds to use, how to maintain the pressure tank and any ideas on improving efficiency. It has a 7" stack, two standing pilots, end and middle, an old aquastat and a valve with open, winter and summer positions. It seems alot of BTUs are lost up the chimney. It is installed in the basement of our two story house about 2000 square feet and keeps us pretty warm but not cheaply. Thanks for any help you can provide or books/sources to refer me to. Great info on this site. Regards, John0
