diy hot water heater
the pump is bronze . The fresh water will kill any cast iron pump over time . You'll have to rewire the surface mount aquastat(s) also .
There's a few resources online with schematics to pipe the tank . Let us know if you need some links .

Thinking of using the hot water coil in my Wiel Mclain oilfired boiler to heat water and store it in an electric hot water heater by using a pump to circulate it. I've heard of people doing this to get less variation in their hot water when taking a shower. Plan on using a 40 or 50 gal heater with a Taco pump. Any info or comments would be welcome.0 -
Links and schematics would be helpful. If you could send I will be thankful. Thanks for the reply.0
