Losing water through boiler exhaust

Member Posts: 24
I have a Utica UB90 boiler and I am losing water through the exhaust. It took awhile to figure out where the water was going because the condensate sump was pumping it away. I think this problem has gotten progressively worse and now I can lose a gallon in a few hours without the system even running (but the makeup valve is open).
This boiler is about a year old. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, if it is only a year old maybe you should call the installer and see if it is warranteed.0 -
Dunkirk Q-90
I installed a Dunkirk Q-90-150, same boiler as the Utica, which was my first dunkirk condensing install and noticed what seemed like an excessive amount of condensate coming from the drain but thought it was normal. I realize now that there was a hole in the boiler from day one and after about six months it got progressively worse where boiler would not fire because there was so much water leaking into the lower flue passage. I pluged and air tested it and it was leaking in the flue outlet. Dunkirk sent me a new boiler to replace it. Tom0
