power inverters

reliable answer will be from Honeywell.

That said, in general computer/video/audio gear will not run well (if at all) from a step-type inverter (the common garden variety), but there are true sine wave inverters available (for a price!) which will run anything.

    electrical inverters

Remote location, totally generator now, would like to add a propane furnace powered by a solar, wind, generator system. Question, does anyone know if running a honeywell 8610u or an 89xx(hot surface) will work correctly on a modified ac power? any help please.

Is timmie or anyone from Honeywell available to comment on
using a 12 volt power inverter on gas components and even on 120v to 24v xfmrs ?

    exeltech...

...makes small true sine wave inverters. I'm running off a 600W unit now. The Alternative Energy Store http://home.altenergystore.com/ and ABS Alaskan http://www.absak.com/basic/solar-power.html and New England Solar http://www.newenglandsolar.com/ are three stores I've used that I like.
